The premiere of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera SIMON BOCCANEGRA will be given on June 10 at Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater.
SIMON BOCCANEGRA is performed in Georgia for the first time.
Carlo Felice’s production will be in the permanent repertoire of the Tbilisi Opera Theater and the next premiere performances will be given on June 13, 16, 17.
Director – Alfonso Signorini (Italy), Costume Designer – Ester Martin (Spain).
Both the soloists of the opera theater, as well as famous Georgian and foreign singers performing abroad will participate in the premiere performances.
On June 10 the main parts will be performed by: Giorgi Gagnidze, Ramaz Chikviladze, Tamar Iveri, Otar Jorjikia, Giorgi Mchedlishvili, Giorgi Chelidze, Tamaz Saginadze, Manana Iordanishvili. Conductor – Zaza Azmaiparashvili.
From June 10, 2018 – for the first time in Georgia, the audience will see Verdi’s version of Simone Boccanegra’s life in the Tbilisi Opera House.
